Join us on Saturday, November 12 in Joplin and help us complete The Hope Memorial. At this unique worship experience, you will be invited to become a permanent part of the Memorial by leaving your mark with paint and by contributing a written hope or prayer that will remain forever with the piece. Over 500 hopes and prayers have already been contributed from around the world. FREE to attend!
The Hope Memorial is a multi-media, community-based, redeeming piece of art that offers a unique opportunity for spiritual hope and emotional healing to the survivors of the May 22, 2011 tornado in Joplin, MO. The Memorial is being built out of debris and wreckage from the Salvation Army Thrift Store site at 26th and Main. learn more
The Hope Memorial Participation Day event will be a time set apart to help the people of Joplin address emotional and spiritual needs through creative means...helping them to see beauty amongst the devastation...helping them experience the hope of a BIG God. learn more
This event will feature a time of worship, encouragement and inspiration, a time of remembrance, Memorial participation and dedication, and prayer. You will be encouraged to remember, but to look ahead...to grieve, but to have hope.
The Hope Memorial is a gift to the people of Joplin from set apart and will be officially owned by The Salvation Army. It will be dedicated to the City of Joplin by The Salvation Army leadership.
