_The Strawberry Swing...it's an indie craft thing!
The Swing is a free-to-attend event featuring artists and vendors who travel from all over the Midwest to sell and showcase their handmade goods and original artwork. The Swing is held yearly in Kansas City in support of creative indie-entrepreneurs. The 2012 Swing will present 60+ vendors, live music and food and beverages from choice local eateries, food trucks and small independent kitchens! Come out and enjoy family-friendly shopping, free craft activities, artist workshops yummy foods, live music and photobooth fun! |

Create with us at the Swing!
set apartists will be available throughout the day on Saturday, June 2 demonstrating different art techniques. Attendees are invited to just watch, ask questions or to actually get in there and create something! Calvert Guthrie will be demonstrating the arts of hand-lettering and letterpress. Attendees will have the option of receiving a professional hand-lettered bookmark with a word of their choice or to print a fun design on the press...Swing style! Alysia Quisenberry will be demonstrating the art of printmaking using carved woodblocks, ink, paper and a wooden spoon! This technique can be done at home with materials available at everyday craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Michael's. |

(All monies raised from raffle ticket sales at the Swing will be gifted to set apart, who will use it to fund an upcoming project for Mercy & Truth Medical Missions.)
