Find out what's in store for set apart in 2012.
Creative Services :: The Gideons International
The simple mission of the Gideons is to distribute the Word of God. They are perhaps most widely known for the Bibles they place in hotel rooms. Since they started their mission over 100 years ago, they have distributed over 1.6 million Bibles in more than 90 languages. These Bibles are either given directly to individuals or placed in selected public locations where large numbers of people, who may be searching for answers, will have the ability to encounter the Word of God.
set apart is creating promotional and merchandising designs unique to the Gideons' card-driven donation program. These cards--not available for purchase, but offered free to donors--are a simple way for people to partner in ministry with the Gideons by first making a donation towards the printing and distribution of Bibles around the world, then sending a card to a loved one to acknowledge the donation made in their honor.
Creative Workshops :: set apartist series
One of the questions we get asked on a regular basis is "Do you teach or have anything for kids?"
We heard you.
set apart is working to develop a series of workshops that expose youth to a variety of creative media. These sessions will provide time for actual creating, as well as opportunities to receive instruction, guidance and feedback from professional artists in the field.
If you are an artist interested in teaching or an organization with a need for art instruction, email Kristin Morris for more information.

Bible Study :: Journeys with The Saviour
Written by Paige DeRuyscher. Illustrated and designed by set apart founder, Brent Morris.
Finally! The long-awaited publication of the illustrated journal, Journeys with the Saviour: Follow Me, is here at last! This unique book leads readers through a short narrative, then
a series of fictional journal entries written by the first-century apostles. The combination
of illustrations and journal entries make the apostles come to life in an authentic way while simultaneously revealing the way that God calls ordinary people to extraordinary purposes.
People are encouraged to go through the book on their own, journal about what they read, and
come together in small groups to explore and pursue the extraordinary purpose God has for them as individuals in this century.
Watch for updates and announcements on Facebook and Twitter about journal pre-sales and an accompanying Bible study that will be released later in 2012.

Exhibitions :: The Art Event at KCC
set apart is working with Kansas City Christian School to plan the debut of an annual art show, The Art Event at KCC, Kansas City's Premier Christian Festival of the Arts. This inaugural event will be held April 27-28, 2012 at Kansas City Christian School in Prairie Village, KS. The juried show will feature 40+ artists selling original works of art in a wide range of media. A portion of proceeds will benefit Kansas City Christian School as well as three local charities: Freedom Fire Urban Ministries, Global Orphan Project, and Kansas City House of Hope.
Creative Events :: Veteran's Day
set apart is in the early planning stages of a unique community event that honors our country's veterans. This event will incorporate a community-based piece of art that will feature the written prayers of veterans, those currently serving, as well as grateful civilians. The purpose of the art is to provide a visual reminder of the legacy our veterans have left us and to preserve the heroic markings of our service men and women for future generations.
